Student Lighthouse Team

Leading. Serving. Making Waves.

At Gulf Shores City Schools, we believe every student has the potential to Choose To Be Greater and make a difference. The Student Lighthouse Team, an important part of The Leader in Me, empowers students to step forward as leaders and help shape a positive, inclusive, and student-centered school culture.

Lighthouse Team members put the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People into action by leading school initiatives, supporting service projects, encouraging their peers, helping solve problems, and creating opportunities for students to connect, collaborate, and grow. Through these experiences, students develop confidence, communication skills, responsibility, and a greater sense of purpose.

Our commitment to educating the whole child means nurturing students academically, socially, emotionally, physically, and as individuals of character. The Lighthouse Team provides meaningful opportunities for students to discover their strengths, use their voices, serve others, and take ownership of their school community.

Because leadership isn't just something we teach — it's something we empower our students to live. Together, our Dolphins are making waves through leadership, service, and positive impact.
