Through a partnership between GSCS and AltaPointe, mental health therapists employed by AltaPointe meet with students on their school campuses. Students are provided access to these school-based mental health services through a referral from either the school counselor or the student’s parent/guardian.

Baldwin Youth Services operates a group home for boys, a group home for girls and a crisis center. The Crisis Center and Boys Home are located in Robertsdale and the Girls Home is located in Silverhill. The Boys Home and Girls Home programs are designed as a community-based corrections program to keep children near family and in public school. Each of the homes may have up to eight children in residence. Each child has a private bedroom with a bathroom. A house parent lives on site and overseas the program for the home. The Crisis Center offers short-term intervention for youth and youth can be placed by DHR, the court system, or a Baldwin County parent/guardian.

Stabilize the child or adolescent and treat issues contributing to the crisis. The hospital is loctated in West Mobile and offers short term stabilization and/or long-term treatment in a residential setting for children and adolescents.

Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) is a mentoring organization that pairs a child with a role model mentor. The one-on-one relationship is built on trust and friendship and is designed to provide children from unfortunate circumstances the opportunity to learn, grow and develop into thriving young adults. BBBS serves the community through community matched mentors as well as a school-based match program. (ages 6-12)

The Bridge is a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide quality, evidence-based clinical services to adolescents with behavioral or substance use disorders. Children who are sexually and physically abused have to endure multiple interviews by lawyers, police, doctors, social workers and counselors. Often times these interviews are conducted in undesirable settings such as police stations, courthouses, and school hallways, none of which are conducive to the emotional well being of children.  CARE House provides a child-friendly environment for the child victims of sexual abuse. They also provide prevention curriculum (grades K-12) and Net Smartz (grades 2-8) which is an online safety education program. There is about a puppet show for Kindergarten and 1st grade on appropriate touch.
